Simmons Family Space

Time flies.  I have not added anything to this site in such a long time.  Why?  Two reasons - this thing shuts down on me so often when uploading pictures and I am addicted to facebook like many of you suckers out there.  So what has changed, well Jacob is over 2 now and his beautiful little sister has arrived.  Ashley Jordyn arrived at 3:09pm on Sunday, December 23rd.  Jacob just loves his baby sister .. most of the time LOL.  I will try to be a little more diligent in updating this thing. 

So it has been a while since I have posted anything, I guess it is because Jacob keeps us so busy it is hard to find time to sit down and do this.  Well that and I procrastinate.  Our little man is not so little anymore.  He is growing up so fast I can't believe it.  We love being parents so much that we decided it was time to expand our family again.  Yes I am pregnant!!  Baby Simmons #2 is expected to make a grand entry mid December.  Jacob will be a big brother.   So far he says yes he wants to be and he kisse Momm'y belly, but we shall see what the future holds as he realizes he needs to share his beloved Mommy and Daddy.  He will do great.  I wonder if my hormones will ever return to a somewhat balanced state, one where I don't cry typing a little note like this or over an RBC commercial LOL.  Well stay tuned more to come in the Simmons Adventures.

So our little man and I spent the last 4 weeks in Phoenix, Arizona with Nana S.  We had an absolutely amazing trip and it was bitter sweet coming home.  Nana spoiled us ROTTEN and Mommy and her are even closer than ever before.  Uncle Mikky & Aunty Eva tied the knot and Jacob got to strut his stuff in a nice linen suit at the reception for a brief time.  Aunty Carrie came to visit us as well.  Daddy and Baba came on the third week and boy did we miss them.  Where on earth does time go?  I thought it was just last week we came home from the hospital with Jacob and yet tomorrow he is going to be 10 months old.  WOW!!  This is one of the most rewarding times in my life to date and I can't wait to see what happens next.  He crawls like a speed train and is balancing himself now too.  Jacob just started to dance and I hope he never stops.  Keep tuned in....

Well what can I say ... our little man loves to smile and he knows when his picture is being taken.  We have been so fortunate to have such a happy little guy ... we can only hope that the next is so easy.

Well here we are .. Jacob is 5 months already.  Where on earth has time gone.  Our lives have changed more than we could ever have imagined, but all for the best.  Our little man is growing so fast we can't believe it.  He is almost 20 pounds already and is 29-30 inches long.  He is going to be a big boy.  He is doing and experiencing something new every day.  he loves to laugh and is such a happy boy.  We have gotten over the sleep deprivation shocker his arrival brought and he has worked himself into our lives quite nicely.  We are now a family.  Jacob is rolling over, saing "Ba Ba" and much much more.  Keep checkin out our site for more exciting news.

Hello All,

 

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Jacob Dylan arrived on Tuesday, January 17th at 5:56am weighing 10.1 lbs and measuring 22 inches long.  The labour and delivery were harder than we ever imagined, but all survived and we are doing great.  Time is flying and the little man is growing like a weed.
